How we use information
We use this information to provide login and password recovery; save your library and progress; show discussions, replies, notifications, and recommendations within the service; maintain safety and prevent abuse; and investigate service problems.
Services and content providers
Our service uses third-party technology, including Supabase for backend and authentication services, Resend for transactional email, Cloudflare for website hosting and network services, TheTVDB for entertainment metadata, and GIPHY for GIF functionality where available. These providers may process data as needed to deliver their services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Sharing and visibility
Your public profile and any community content you make public may be viewed by others. We share information with service providers as needed to operate Popcorn'd, comply with applicable law, protect safety, and handle legal requests. Do not post sensitive personal information publicly.
Retention and deletion
We keep information as needed to operate the service and for legitimate security, legal, or operational requirements. You can request account deletion using the account deletion option within Popcorn'd. Some information may persist temporarily in backups or logs, and some content may require additional handling to preserve discussion context, subject to applicable law. We will clarify deletion timing and treatment of public contributions before launch.
Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and protect your email account.
Children
Popcorn'd is not intended for children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take appropriate steps to remove it. Additional regional age and consent rules may apply.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date and updated policy will appear on this page.
